Coaching is not another ‘how to’ course. It is a powerful alliance between a Coach and another person or team that produces exceptional results.
Coaching is like a synthesis of a mentor to believe in you and help you set inspiring goals … A manager to break down the goals into ‘do-able bits’…A personal trainer that will keep you moving along your path and a sports coach to give you feedback to help improve your game.
Your Coach works one-to-one or with a team over an extended period of time. This way the work is targeted and focused to your needs, plus, we’re able to make sure you really develop new skills and habits.
Your Revolution Coach works within a Results Coaching Systems proprietary coaching structure, for one hour per week in person, or by telephone or internet voice call. A coaching series is normally 12 sessions but this is negotiable depending on your needs.
Over this time you’ll be helped to set goals, develop personal and team skills, and hit the goals established at the beginning of the course.
You’ll also receive feedback, perspective, encouragement and new ways of tackling situations. It’s like having someone “running alongside you” in life, giving you the extra input and insights that can really make a difference to your success.
Principles of Results Coaching
The Results Coaching System approach to coaching was developed over 8 years and is highly suitable to the business world. It is direct, solution focused and perfect for coaching high functioning individuals.
The model draws on an understanding of the brain, combined with positive psychology, systems theory, learning theory and change theory.
The five core principles of Results Coaching are:
- Self directed learning
Coaching helps people think better. The person being coached is the expert in their work – the coach uses a questioning approach to help the person find their own answers. This is why the best coaches are not necessarily experts in your field of business!
- Solutions focus
Coaching is not about what’s wrong and trying to fix it. Coaching focusses firmly on solutions – where are you now, where you want to be and how you get there.
- Positive feedback
Criticism shrinks our confidence and stops us taking action. Encouragement, affirmation and belief does the opposite. Coaching is a way of delivering encouragement and belief in people that really moves them forward.
- Systematic approach to delivering behavioural change
Real change takes time, commitment and focus. Coaching is effective because it provides a step by step, systematic approach that produces real and durable change.
- Stretch
People perform at their best when they are appropriately challenged. Too much stretch causes stress, too little produces boredom. In coaching, we focus on empowering individuals and teams to develop their own answers, maintain a firm focus on solutions and then challenge them to be the best they can be.
